Version 2009.1 adds features to all three components but more importantly addresses some communication issues while trying to connect to certain NEMA hardware.
Updates are always free so if you have a license for any SV 2009 products they will work with the update.

About SailView 2009
SailView is a set of tools designed to track and improve your sailing performance. SailView consists of three major components, LIVE, ANALYZE and REPLAY.
LIVE is a 'glass cockpit' for your boat, with it you get analog gauges, nearly twenty digital gauges and graphical representations of the wind history, current(the water flow) direction and speed, your velocities, performance to your polars and a track history.
The analog gauges provide you with quick, easy to read summaries of what's happening. For instance the compass can show the true and apparent wind, bearing to mark, heading and (based on your polars, the next mark and the wind conditions) the best angle to sail.
The digital gauges can show you everything from the Course Over Ground and the Velocity Made Good to the water temperature!
In addition to the analog and digital gauges you get some feature that are unique to SailView. For instance if you have polars for your boat, we can show you how you are performing to those polars IN REAL TIME!
While on the water you have the ability to log all the data you collect. In fact we collect 26 points of data as often as once a second. You can even insert notes into the data and when you indicate things like a change to the course you're sailing or the sails you've hoisted LIVE will insert the notes for you. That data can then be read by ANALYZE and reflected in REPLAY.
ANALYZE takes the data you collect and lets you sort, filter and plot any of the data using an intuitive interface. Once you get a plot you like, you can export it in eight different formats. Additionally we supply a wind report and a course report that give you 'one-click' summaries of your data.
If that's not enough, you can also export the data (filtered or not) in several formats.
In addition we provide a function that will automatically filter a set of data and produce a polar chart based on that data, WITH ONE CLICK! That polar can then be used the next time you're one the water tuning!
REPLAY is the final piece. The data you collect on the water can be combined with other's data and be replayed in a fully interactive 3D world. Did you really break the overlap before reaching the zone? Now you can go back and watch!
The retail version defaults to a demonstration mode that is limited to 15 minutes of runtime or data analysis/playback. Once you purchase and apply a license key the 15 minute limit is removed.

SailView will be available in three tiers. The first tier provides LIVE and all of the tools. The second tier adds ANALYZE and the third adds REPLAY.
We'll be offering introductory pricing for early adopters.

The purchase of a license entitles you to all updates to the version you purchased as well as a 30% discount on upgrades to the most current version.
If you have a license (purchased prior to March 21, 2009) for Race Analysis we'll take care of you with a free upgrade to SailView 2009. We are also maintaining backward compatibility with existing 3D boat models.
